Police: Series of Burglaries in South Reston

Fairfax County Police report four break-ins in South Lakes area.

Fairfax County Police say at least four break-ins were reported at homes in the South Lakes area last week.

Entry was made through unlocked doors, police said.

Two of the incidents were reported on March 8 and two on March 13. Here are the details:

March 8, 4:30 p.m., burglary in the 2200 block of Glencourse Lane. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole a purse. Entry was made through an unlocked rear door.

March 8, 8 a.m., unlawful entry in the 11800 block of Barrel Cooper Court, A resident reported someone entered the home but nothing was stolen. Entry was made through a rear door.

March 12, 8 a.m., burglary in the 2100 block of Cartwright Place. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole her purse. There were no signs of forced entry.

March 12, 9 a.m. burglary in the 2200 block of Wheelwright Court. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole her purse. There were no signs of forced entry.

In separate and unrelated incidents reported by police:

 

PEEPING, 1400 block of Alston Place, 3/13/13, 9:30 p.m. A 33-year-old reported someone was looking into her room. The suspect walked away when she noticed him.

LARCENIES:

11900 block of Democracy Drive, cell phone and wallet from business

12000 block of Greywing Square, license plate from vehicle

12000 block of North Shore Drive, cell phone from vehicle

11600 block of Plaza America Drive, credit cards from business

12000 block of Bowman Towne Drive, laptop computer from vehicle

1900 block of Lakeport Way, purse from business

12100 block of Sunset Hills Road, electronics and vacuum cleaners from business

12300 block of Fan Shell Court, bicycles from residence

1500 block of North Point Drive, vacuum cleaner from residence

1700 block of Ascot Way, license plate from vehicle

2200 block of Southgate Square, laptop and electronic device from vehicle
