Neighbors constructed a cross and planted flowers at Reston Associaton's Lake Newport Soccer Fields, where a man was found dead (a suspected suicide) in his car Monday morning.
Fairfax County Police were called to the soccer field about 7 a.m., where the man was found in his car. An autopsy is pending.
Police did not release the man's identity.

Everyone should have neighbors like that. What a sweet gesture! Sad story, but a sweet and caring gesture.

None of us knows what burdens our neighbors are struggling with. Let us try to react with patience and care when we interact with each other. The world seems too full of suspiciion and disaffection. Why not follow the example of these caring folks who wanted to honor the memory of their fellow human?
