Deadline to run for one of three open seats on Reston Association Board is Friday.
Is this the year you give back by running for a seat on the Reston Association Board of Directors?
If so, time is running out to file for candidacy. The deadline for declaring yourself a candidate is 5 p.m. on Friday.
To run for the board, candidates must fill out a statement of candidacy and get at least 25 signatures on a petition of candidacy. Full information is available on the Reston Association website, www.reston.org.

There are three seats open in 2013. Lake Anne/Tall Oaks (currently held by RA president Ken Knueven), North Point (currently held by Mike Collins, who will not run for re-election) and an At-Large spot (currently held by Joe Leighton, who cannot run again because of term limits).
Voting begins on March 4 and results are announced in April.
