How to Register to Vote in Fairfax County

National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday. Make sure you are registered or your current registration is valid before the Oct. 15 deadline.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote, the deadline is just a few weeks away.

Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day, and thousands of local, state and national organizations are mobilizing to make sure millions of people don’t miss the chance to cast their vote in this year’s elections. There are already more than 717,000 registered voters in Fairfax County, according to August statistics from the State Board of Elections.

An estimated 6 million people nationwide didn’t vote in the 2008 elections because they either did not know how to register or because they missed the voter registration deadline.
