Maude Salon Wins Redken Award

Salon voted "Up and Comer" of 2013 and Redken International Symposium in Las Vegas.

Herndon's Maude Hair Salon has won the prestigious Redken Salon of the Year “Up and Comer” Award.  Co-owners Vanessa Rose, Celeste Williams and Tina Jay were recently presented this honor at the 2013 Redken International Symposium in Las Vegas.

“Maude Hair Salon is a shining example within the professional salon industry of how to successfully market their business as well as provide ongoing education for their staff and the best possible service for their guests,” Shae Kalyani, VP of President of Marketing and Communications for Redken, said at the event.

While in Las Vegas, Maude's owners and 14 members of the salon team joined 10,000 hairdressers from around the globe to take part in the salon industry’s educational event.

Maude was honored for its community service as a Best of Reston winner in 2011. The salon is highly active in community service activities, setting aside $4,000 to support school fundraisers and local charities. In 2012, the salon was honored by Herndon Mayor Steve DeBenedittis with a Distinguised Corporate Service Award.

“From the moment we opened our doors, we decided that we would embrace and support our local community, as well as young talent," said Rose. "We have a responsibility to make a difference in the lives of our team and the community we serve."
