1. Mark Warner stops by - The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce co-hosts an event this morning featuring Virginia Sen. Mark Warner (D), who will speak on the budget and its effects on local business.

2. - Hunter Mill Supervisor Cathy Hudgins will hold a community meeting about possible changes to Soapstone Drive. At a similar meeting last fall, Hudgins . Have something to say about it? Stop by at 7 p.m.

3. Democrats pick a school board candidate - The Hunter Mill Democrats will meet Thursday to choose who will be on the ticket in the November election for the Hunter Mill School Board seat. Veteran rep Stuart Gibson will not be running for re-election. Candidates include and Forest Edge Elementary teacher

4. Spring sports showdown - Tennis Districts start Monday at Lewinsville Park in McLean.

5. Young performers - The pyramid band concert for musicians at elementary, middle and high school levels, will take place Thursday at South Lakes High School  at 7 p.m. Langston Hughes Middle School will also present Bye, Bye, Birdie Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
