Have you voted for the best Reston fall photo yet? The uploading deadline has passed - and we have gotten some great photo contributions. So check them out and vote for your favorite by leaving a comment on this article.

A winner will be chosen on Monday, Nov. 12.

Original story, Oct. 20:

Reston is full of pretty leaves, shimmering lakes - and people with new iPhone and quality camera equipment.

Help us capture the colors of fall in our Reston Patch fall photo contest. We had huge participation in 2011, so let's see what you've got in 2012.

Here's the deal.

* Take a few photos that you think capture the colors, people and activities of fall in Reston the best. Upload them to this article. You can use regular photo style or see what Instagram can do for you.

* Patch readers will be encouraged to vote for their favorite by leaving a comment in the comment section.

* Uploading ends Nov. 9. The contributor/photos with the most comments will be chosen to win a gift card to one of Reston's local businesses.

Contest rules and regulations here.

So let's see what you you see out there. Thanks for playing!

Lots of great pictures of locations that I like and visit often, tough to pick one over the other. I like Karen's sort of misty pictures, could be anywhere. I really like the detail in foreground with a misty Lake Anne in the background in Anita's picture.

All the photos are just beautiful. But my favorate is Lake Fairfax by Anita Ramamurthy. The photo is a perfect Fall shot in Reston with the water and the colorful leaves and the birds in the sky. I love the reflection of the trees and leaves on the water....... A stunning photo of Lake Fairfax........... SAG.

Kaitlin Chittenden's photo shows a lot of promise for a young photographer. She has an eye & a knack for "capturing the moment" on film. If this beautiful photo is any indication, she is going to become quite a formidable photographer! She definitely gets my vote for a prize-winning picture!
