An office building parking lot in Reston will once again be transformed into a Bavarian holiday celebration Thursday as the German Armed Forces Command hosts its annual Christkindl Market.

The German Armed Forces Command has office space - where a piece of the Berlin Wall is on display - at 11150 Sunrise Valley Dr.

The outdoor Christkindl Market is fun for the whole family - with German beer, homemade pastries and treats, music, Christmas crafts and activities for the children.

The event runs from 4 to 9 p.m. Admission is free, but beer costs money and most food is on a donation basis. Proceeds go to local charities.
