Astronaut Buzz Aldrin stopped by his namesake school - Buzz Aldrin Elementary in Reston - on Monday to visit with students.
Aldrin, 80, chatted with children in their classrooms, answered questions and wished them all happy holidays.

That is so cool! Does Buzz Aldrin live in Reston or was he just dropping by?

I think he just likes to drop by when he can. The last time he stopped at the school was on Sept. 10, 2009 and I covered it for the Observer (it was also my birthday, which was why it was an easy date to remember). The children sang his rap, Rocket Experience, to him. It was pretty cute.
