SLHS Seeks Parents For Principal Search Committee
The South Lakes High School PTSA is helping Fairfax County Public Schools find South Lakes parents who would like to serve on the Principal selection panel, which will be held Friday, June 1 at Gatehouse Administrative Center.
The school system is searching for a replacement for Principal Bruce Butler, who announced he will retire at the end of the schol year. A community meeting on this topic will be held at the school on May 16 at 7 p.m.
Any parent who submits their name as a candidate to serve on the panel must confirm they are available for the entire day (7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) The panel may not take the entire day, but in case it does, we want to be sure all are available for the entire process.
Parent representatives should be people who are committed to the principal selection process and the future of South Lakes High School.
The panel members should also represent the diversity of the school and students, by age, programs in which they are involved, etc.
If you would like to be considered for the panel, please write to President@SouthLakesPTSA.org and include the following information:
Name, Address, City, Zip
Ages of Children and Academic Programs in which they are involved (i.e., IB, Special Education) Additional information
