Reston Youth Association Earns Football Titles
Fairfax County Youth Football held its Championship Weekend this past Saturday, and Reston Youth Association was well represented.
Five out of nine RYA teams competed in their Division Finals this Saturday and three teams earned County Championships!
The youngest group of 7-9 year olds, called Anklebiters, beat Herndon 27-6 at Westfield High School to avenge its only regular-season loss and capture a title.
The 75 lb. National 1 team of 8-11 year olds beat a squad from Gainesville 13-0 to win their Division. Not only did the team go undefeated, they also did not allow a single point during the entire season.
Finally, the 85 lb. Central team of 9-12 year olds beat Dulles South 44-20 in an electrifying game to finish their season undefeated.
Congratulations also go out to 75 National 2 and 75 American teams that made it to their Division Finals.
