Reston Challenge Donates $1,000 to Alzheimer's Association

The nonprofit Reston Challenge announced it raised $1,000 for the Alzheimer's Association of the National Capital Area. Reston Challenge met with Alzheimer's Association officials Dec. 8 at Reston Town Center to present the check.

Reston Challenge held its inaugural scavenger hunt Oct. 30. Teams competed by tracking down clues and completing challenges to make it back to the finish line for a ceremony featuring food, drinks, and prizes donated by Reston Town Center businesses.

For each event, the Reston Challenge will choose  a different charity to which their proceeds will be donated. Nicholas Hartigan, Chief Executive Officer of  Reston Challenge, says he chose the Alzheimer's Association as this year's charity because of his personal experience witnessing loved ones struggle with the disease.
