Classical Ballet Theatre's Spectacular February Show
They danced in pointe shoes and in bare feet. They leaped high into the air and were dragged across the floor. They were --- spectacular!
Classical Ballet Theatre's February celebration of classical and contemporary dance at the Reston Community Center was a huge success. Young, pre-professional dancers performed extremely challenging variations from Don Quixote and Cinderella as well as What's the Pointe?, Allegrias, and Paquita. They also brought to life original contemporary choreography by Gloria Hampton and Meghan Rudorfer, who has overseen the development of the Contemporary Division at Classical Ballet Theatre (CBT). CBT thanks Ms. Rudorfer and Artistic Director Alisher Saburov for their vision. CBT also thanks Joe Lipinski, Resident Chef at Sur La Table, and Julien-Pierre Bourgon, Resident Mixologist at Todd Thrasher's TNT Bar & PX Lounge, for providing the evening's hors d'oeuvres and beverages.
Classical Ballet Theatre is a not-for-profit performing arts organization dedicated to providing education, performance, and outreach opportunities in the art of dance to Northern Virginia and the surrounding communities.
